Course Outline
The role of the supervisor is key to achieving both compliance and business performance.
This essential CPD 2 day event is designed to refresh and enhance the essential skills for supervisors and deliver results in terms of the improved performance of their teams. It can be tailored to deliver a refresher on your own firms supervisory standards and, in an additional day. a formal assessment of competence can be undertaken by our skilled and qualified trainers.

Anyone who has responsibility, directly or indirectly for managing staff will discover how to effectively:

Identify when skills and knowledge need to be improved
Know how to coach staff to improve performance

In your day-to-day role as a Supervisor, you will need to exercise a number of skills to ensure that your team understands what is required of them to deliver a high quality, compliant service to your clients. By attending this course you will refresh your knowledge and learn new ways to: -
Observe your team undertaking their responsibilities, check and analyse their process
Record the information in a way that enables you to provide constructive feedback
Learn about different ways of assessing the knowledge and skills of your team and when to apply them
Understand the techniques of coaching and have the opportunity to practice this skill in a training environment where expert guidance can be provided
Understand the different levels of supervision from close to normal levels and when to adopt an appropriate regime
Set CPD standards for yourself and your team
Develop your own plan to apply these skills on your return to work
Training Approach
This workshop is uses a combination of trainer input, knowledge sharing with interactive syndicate work and case studies
Group size is kept to a maximum of 12 to facilitate sharing of experience amongst the delegates
Workshop leader: The tutors running this event will have a combination of experience and skills which we consider necessary to provide credibility and practical experience of the challenges that supervisors experience in real life: - They will have: -
Worked in the industry in this role
At least 3 years experience of training in this area
Reached our standard in delegate feedback from previous events
They will also normally have an appropriate technical qualification.
