Developing and Implementing Strategy Course Outline
This 2-day, intensive residential workshop on developing and implementing strategy gives Directors and Senior Managers the tools to help them contribute to, or lead, strategy development. The process helps individuals gain a fundamental understanding of how a corporate strategy is developed and how to lead a management team and organisation through to communicating and implementing that strategy.
You'll learn a number of techniques that will help you to:
Set clear goals
Consider and plan for external impacts
Think through the capabilities of the organisation to execute the strategy
Develop plausible scenarios
Who should attend?
Senior Managers or Board Members with responsibility for setting strategy and plans
Business Development Executives tasked with facilitating development of the strategy
Group, department or team managers wishing to develop a strategy for their team

Training Approach
This workshop is uses a combination of trainer input, knowledge sharing with interactive syndicate work and case studies
Group size is generally kept to a maximum of 12 to facilitate sharing of experience amongst the delegates
Workshop leader: Jayne Owen
Jayne is the Chief Executive of Corporate Training Partnerships Ltd and joined from the Ernst & Young Regulatory Practice where she delivered consultancy services to help major clients address compliance issues. She has over thirty years experience in the financial services industry and has worked within a regulatory body, the Investment Management Regulatory Organisation, as well as Barclays Bank PLC and the National Westminster Bank Group.
Her commercial experience spans most aspects of financial services from sales and marketing to finance, planning and operations within regulated firms she therefore brings both a broad understanding of regulation as well as business acumen to bear on issues.
In a training role Jayne uses a high degree of facilitation to draw out the experience of delegates. She challenges constructively to deepen understanding and enable the practical business advantages to be explored from using new knowledge and skills in the workplace.
