Compliance Skills Academy – Training For Compliance, Risk & Audit Professionals

The Compliance Skills Academy provides a programme of training tailored for individuals in a compliance, risk, audit or control function working in a financial services organisation.

In the Compliance Skills Academy we have brought together the essential elements to deliver behaviors that underpin effective performance: -

Strong and responsive interpersonal skills
Management and Leadership abilities that model the right behaviors
Communications at all levels, particularly complex information and data
The ability to understand strategy and culture

Our work in the financial services industry has given us an insight into the critical success factors that drive the perception and acceptance of compliance in businesses.

People in compliance have to persuade, motivate and build a willingness to comply across all areas of business.

The term “Compliance” in this context is extended to include the other control areas of control, audit and risk. When these areas work in concert they serve the business well and achieve a strong and supportive culture.

The programme is appropriate for 6 to 12 people and comprises three main events, each building on the learning from the previous event. All contain case studies, exercises and issues that impact the compliance role. For example, those in control functions have to manage an enormous amount of information that has to sifted, judges and communicated to all levels in the business and this is the focus of the “Managing and communicating information” session.
