Risk Based T&C Review
We carry out independent risk based T&C reviews that focus on the areas that pose the greatest risk to your business. This approach allows us to quickly identify the most important controls and conduct sample tests to ensure that these operate effectively.
This sort of check is ideal when:
- You are re-structuring the business and creating new jobs needing changed competecy levels
- Have concerns about the quality of supervison
- Have different policies for differnt departments and divisions and want to adopt the most effective approach
The consultants who undertake this work have themselves been engaged in managing T&C Schemes within organisations and this experience allows them to identify likely areas of weakness very quickly.
The report we make includes recommendations for remedial action supported by evidence from the tests we undertake of the controls. Should training be required we can design and deliver courses in-house or provide access to our open courses.
The review focuses on each of the risk areas set by the T&C scheme: -
- Failure to maintain complete and up-to-date processes to ensure competence
- Failure to ensure that recruitment processes ensure people are fit and proper and remain so
- Failure to accurately record the population of advisers and their supervisors
- Failure to ensure that advice is provided only by competent individuals, or by trainees, suitably supervised
- Failure to ensure that competence is maintained
- Failure to allocate ownership for competence, risk control and oversight
