New Retail Sector Director appointed

June 2009 – Corporate Training Partnerships Ltd, an award winning training and consultancy provider to the Financial Services industry, is delighted to announce the appointment of Philippa Grocott as Director, Retail Sector.

Philippa leads CTP's approach in the Retail Sector and brings to the role extensive experience of managing a major training function covering financial advice, mortgages and general insurance as Head of Learning – Direct Channels for Barclays Bank plc. This followed a highly successful career in sales which gives her the strong customer focus and business awareness which is much appreciated by clients.

The new CTP website focusing on the challenges posed by RDR (www.rdrtraining.co.uk) is Philippa's brainchild and she has become expert on the routes and options to achieving the higher professional standards proposed.

CTP won the Best Training Services Award in the 2008 OStCaR (Outstanding Service to Compliance and Regulation) Awards. The annual awards are presented by The Compliance Register and are recognised as the most important qualitative assessment of excellence within the financial services compliance industry.

Not only were there a large number of nominations by our clients but the organisers commented on the compliments received about the quality of our service, the care we take to understand clients circumstances and requirements and the results we achieve from our training.

CTP Delegate Sponsors at the FSSC Speak up for Skills Conference

The 2008 Speak up for Skills Annual Conference will take place on 19th November 2008. CTP Achieve SII Accreditation

The Directors and staff of Corporate Training Partnerships are delighted to announce that we have obtained Approved CPD Provider status with the Securities and Investment Institute. This was achieved through the membership providing comment about our courses and consultants, all of which with regular audits of activities was sufficient for the SII to grant us the accredited status.

Julia Kirkland, Director of Investment Training said “We are thrilled to have obtained this recognition from SII members’ recommendations. We believe it enhances our creditability with our investment clients and forges a closer link with the SII, who we recognise as an important representative body in the investment arena”.

Now attendees of our courses who are SII members and use the SII CPD recording system can select CTP from the list of providers when capturing their attendance at learning events.

Corporate Training Partnership appoint Director of the Insurance Sector

September 2008 – Corporate Training Partnerships, a leading training provider to the Financial Services industry is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlie Galloway who joins CTP in the role of Director, Insurance Sector.

Charlie Galloway joins Corporate Training Partnerships as Director of the Insurance sector from 1st September 2008. Charlie has 24 years of experience in the insurance sector and was latterly with Jardine Lloyd Thompson where he was Head of Compliance, Head of Business Risk, Head of Business Process, and Financial Crime Reporting Officer. He since developed a team of “skilled” persons from the fields of Insurance and Reinsurance Broking, Audit and Law.

Commenting on his appointment Charlie said…..”This is an exciting opportunity to bring my skills from the insurance sector and the London Market into a new and dynamic role. I am immensely looking forward to it.”

Corporate Training Partnerships Appoint Two New Directors.

August 2008 – Corporate Training Partnerships, a leading training provider to the Financial Services industry is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Directors.

David McWhir has been appointed as Director of Corporate Training Partnerships. David is an experienced former “Big 4” consultant who has developed his expertise as a management trainer, coach and facilitator. He has 20 years experience in a range of sectors with specific expertise in compliance in financial services, having worked with all major UK banks and the major life assurance companies as well as a number of investment houses, mortgage and general insurance intermediaries.

“I am looking forward to working with the team to build upon recent successes and seeking new opportunities for growth” says David.

Julia Kirkland has also joined CTP as Director of the Investment Sector. With over 20 years experience in the investment management arena her understanding of the practical application of skills allows her to deliver meaningful training tailored specifically to those attending.
