Course outline and objectives

It is crucial that staff working within both relationship and credit teams of corporate and commercial banks can understand and apply the key financial measures when assessing corporate credit risk.

This programme is designed to introduce stagg with only a basic understanding of financial accounting, to the key financial measures Banks use to assess the financial performance of businesses, and therefore their suitability as a borrowing customer.

This practical course provides a safe environment in which to build your financial skills, practice the calculation and application of financial measures and draw conclusions re financial performance using a real world case study.

Who will benefit?

This focused course will be of value to anyone responsible for understanding or analysing company financial accounts. It is suitable for staff new into the role, with relatively limited experience, although ideally attendees will have at least a basic understanding of financial accounting structures and reports.
